Hello All,
I'm a Seattle USA VW T3 Westfalia driver. I have a 1981 Westy with a Porsche 911 2.7L motor that I am currently refitting. I lived off and on in Germany for 8 years in the 1990's while serving in the US Army. Now working for myself.
I will be visiting Germany this March for work and will have a free week at the end of the month to travel around.
Any advice on places to visit or see that are VW T3 related? I have visited the Sinsheim auto museum and the Munich BMW museum, I am more interested in VW/T3 museums, get togethers, vendors or swap meets. I do realize that March might not be the best month for meetups.
I will be working in Bavaria, (Regensburg area) but am willing to travel around once my work is complete.
My German is limited to simple phrases, but I can get by.
I do appreciate any advice or recommendations you all might have.

in Regensburg there is a meetup of Vw Bus drivers at each last wednesday every month, for to come together , eat and drink and talk about busses .

You can visit Hannover, where the factory of Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge is placed. Today the VW T5 is built there. You can take part in free factory tours.

Also you can visit the Volkswagen Automuseum and the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. You can't miss that as a Volkswagen fan.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll be sure to adjust my travels so I can be at the Regensburg get together. So many places to see and visit. Might have to plan for a major road trip so I can get to Wolfsburg up North as well as Regensburg down south.
